5 of the Youngest Billionaires of 2015

Hard work and passion can take you places, age is just a number which doesn’t define you or your potential to succeed. Every year we see brilliant young minds creating history. Here are 5 young entrepreneurs who made it to the billion dollar list this year:

1) Elizabeth Holmes:

At the young age of 31, Holmes is the youngest self made woman billionaire and is ranked at number 7 in the Forbes list of the youngest billionaires of 2015. Elizabeth dropped out of her sophomore year at Stanford University after her uncle’s death from cancer to detect a way to detect the disease earlier and founded Theranos in 2003. Theranos is an easier, cheaper and quicker way that conducts blood tests with a painless prick of the finger and just a few drops of blood at a fraction of the price charged by commercial labs. Her work has changed the face of medicine and saved innumerable lives. she is currently worth $4.5 billion.

2) Bobby Murphy and Evan Speigel:
The founders, of the temporary photo messaging company, Speigel(age 25) ranked number 1 and Murphy (age 27) ranked number 2 in the Forbes list of the youngest billionaires of 2015 are both Stanford University who met at Kappa Sigma frat house. After their first disappearing photo app flopped, they rebranded and launched Snapchat in 2011. The free app is now used by 100 million people monthly. Speigel and Murphy each own at least 15% and are worth $2.1 billion and $1.8 billion respectively.

3) Dustin Moskovitz:

The co-founder and CEO of Facebook helped launch the website with his roommate Mark Zuckerberg from their Harvard dorm room and dropped out 2 years later to develop Facebook. He quit in 2008 to start Asana but held on to most of his Facebook stocks. He is ranked at number 4 in the Forbes list of 2015’s youngest billionaires at the age of 31 and is valued at $9.3 billion.

4) Mark Zuckerberg:

Zuckerberg dropped out of Harvard when he was 19 and came out with something that drove the world crazy! What started off as a random Saturday night of coding for a college programmer is now the second highest traffic website in the world. Facebook’s 30 year old co-founder, Chairman and CEO is ranked at number 5 in the Forbes list of 2015’s youngest billionaires and is valued at $33.4 billion.
