Life is a rollercoaster with its share of ups and downs. The trick here is to simply enjoy the ‘ups’ and have courage to fight & move past the ‘downs’. 1) Build a support team 

It might be surprising when you realize the immense significance a support team can provide.  Not only is it essential to have a support system, but also the right kind to ensure success. Make a list of the winning people in your circle, who share your experiences and connect or partner with them. Such people are not only a source of inspiration but can also play a role of an adviser regarding your future course of action.

2) Revisit your past glories 

Many say that it is not ideal to live in the past and thrive on your past accomplishments. While it does hold true in most situations, there are a few exceptions to the case. Recall your past achievements and acknowledge the fact of how far you have come. The size of the achievement doesn’t matter, it should be just enough for you to feel motivated & lift your self-esteem. Any medals, special honors, congratulation notes, whatever that can get you going.

3) Determine what drives you

Find out what is the one driving factor that will help you strive for perfection! Reach out for YOUR reason to succeed, that resonates your deepest level of motivation. Why is it so important to you? What will you lose if you don’t keep going? Answer such questions for yourself, but be warned not to overdo the thinking. Find your drive and work on it, only to make it your biggest strength.

Making mistakes is a part of human nature, everyone makes a wrong choice or finds himself in a situation where he or she is at fault. The key is to learn from such instances. Self assessment and evaluation can go a long way in teaching you to handle situations differently, the next time you face a similar situation. Writing down feasible solutions and outcomes to predictable problems always helps, it can be a guide on how to deal with such situations before you come face to face with them. Always take time out to celebrate your achievements. Rewards play a huge role in staying motivated. Reward yourself each and every time you achieve a goal. It could be anything from throwing a party to a weekend getaway or treating yourself to a movie night. Just don’t overlook it accomplishments, no matter the size. Think about something you have recently accomplished and plan a way to celebrate it within the next 10 days. It can be as simple as going out for ice cream. Reward yourself — you are worth it!
